Rosie had another CT Scan and everything looked good. Staples have now been removed and the incision looks great. She will probably be off work several more weeks. Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery.
Saturday March 23rd
Rosie is being discharged from the hospital this afternoon.
Friday March 22nd
Another update from this morning. Rosie got up and went to the restroom and got back in bed with limited assistance. She is eating, talking, and has been sitting up in a chair for the last couple of hours. All your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated not only by Rosie, but by all of her family.
Thursday March 21st
Just a brief update on Rosie. She is still having a few issues with vomiting and getting her medications adjusted right now so she may not be going home today. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Wednesday March 20th
Around 2:30 this afternoon Rosie was moved out of ICU and to a regular room.
Doctor came in this morning and said that Rosie's scans look great and he couldn't be happier! The plan is to keep her on steroids one more day and she should be able to come home tomorrow. (Horray) Thanks again to everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Rosie. Your prayers certainly made the difference.
Tuesday March 19th
Rosie surgery was completed just before 5:00 this afternoon. The surgeon said operation was successful and feels most of the issues Rosie was experiencing was due to necrosis from the radiation. Thanks to everyone for all the thoughts and prayers.
Don't know what the delay was but Rosie's surgery did not get started until 2:22. We will keep everyone posted.
Update at 10:30am
Rosie has been taken back for pre-surgery prep. Pre-surgery prep will take approximately 90 minutes and the surgery is estimated to take 2 hours. Please continue to pray for Rosie.
Monday March 18th
Dear Genesis Family,
I am sure by now many if not all of you have heard that Rosie has been admitted
at OSU (as of Friday) in Columbus. I went to visit her Saturday afternoon
to see how she was doing. When I arrived in her room the neurosurgeon was there giving her an update on what was going on.
To save time and to keep this short, Rosie has elected to have brain surgery on Tuesday to address an issue that has arose. At this time I am not sure when it will
be, but it sounds like it will be Tuesday afternoon. Once I have more info I will
pass it along to everyone.
I talked with Rosie, and we decided putting a page on the Genesis Employee
Website to post updates for all the staff
would be the best way of keeping everyone up to date on Rosie.
That way we don't have to bombard the family with text and calls for updates.
I know when we do this it is because we are concerned and love Rosie, but this way it will make it easier on all concerned. Lets all keep Rosie and her family in our
prayers, they are going to need it in the days and weeks to come!
Rest assured this company will continue to do what we all have been trained to do.
I assured Rosie Saturday that we miss her, and that we will continue to do our jobs until she gets well and back on her feet. I told her she is needed, but we will make this work while she is gone!!!!Thank you all for your love, support and patience for Rosie during this difficult time.
